TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A Tulsa-based company says it is prospering thanks to a device it developed to help people keep from losing their cell phones.

ZOMM LLC introduced its Wireless Leash about two years ago. Now, a new version is being stocked in more than 250 Apple stores and being sold online by the company.

Company founder and CEO Henry Penix says the company had to update its design for the device to make it more "Apple-like," but says it as does its earlier model.

The Wireless Leash is a small disk meant to be clipped to a key chain. It operates with wireless phones via Bluetooth. If the Leash and the phone leave each other's Bluetooth range, the Leash will vibrate, flash and sound an alert.
