Tulsa Zoo is celebrating a great year of attendance by offering a “thank you” to Zoo guests with a dollar admission day.

The attendance for the Tulsa Zoo’s fiscal year 2011-2012, which runs July through June, was the highest it has been in 14 years. The Zoo hosted more than 318,000 guests between the months of March through June alone and hosted 586,540 guests throughout the year.

The Helmerich Sea Lion Cove opened in March 2012 and the Zoo saw a record-breaking 12,000 guests in one day during opening week. The previous highest attendance year was in 1997 with the opening of the Tropical American Rainforest.

To say thank you the Zoo will offer dollar admission on August 4. Visit www.tulsazoo.org to plan your visit or find us on Facebook.
