Tulsa's biggest newspaper is laying off employees.

The Tulsa World posted on Monday that the paper is undergoing a restructuring plan which includes about 50 job cuts. Ten of the eliminated positions in Tulsa will transfer to the paper’s owner, BH Media, while remaining in Tulsa.

The post said the positions were cut after careful analysis by the Tulsa World management. The layoffs will happen over the next several months.

Darn shame that the crusty ole crab that purchased the newspaper thought it was important to trim back on employees. Especially during times of low employment. Back in the day employers used to have more real appreciation for the individuals that made all their money for them.
