Attendance for the 2012 Tulsa State Fair is down slightly over 2011.
Fair organizers say an estimated 1,022,000 people attended the fair this year, that's down 9% from the 2011 totals.
"Our reputation is to provide a safe, clean, friendly and fun event for our consumers, and this year did not disappoint. We are committed to being better than the year before and will continue to develop new partnerships and bring new attractions to make your fair the best it can be," said Mark Andrus, President/CEO.
Organizers also announced the theme for the 2013 Tulsa State Fair, "Pass the Corndog!" Organizers want to encourage fairgoers to take part in fair traditions.
The 2013 Tulsa State Fair is scheduled for September 26th through October 6th.
