Working for TPS is terrifying, it could happen at anytime. Security is lax at best even though they tout it's top notch. You have very few actual "POLICE", they are all stationed at the High Schools, the Middle School only gets a rent a cop from Securitas....and let me tell you, you should see some of these peeps. They wouldn't be able to find their mace can fast enough, because that is all that most are armed with, since they have to provide their own cleet certification if they want to be armed. TPS parents, you need to start figuring stuff out and holding your District accountable. Cause trust me, what you hear them spouting on television is a whole notha' story then what is actually going on. The things that happens at some of these schools and the public never hears about it because TPS is top notch at keeping stuff under wraps. Hale was just the tip of the iceberg the other day. Fights like that happen on a daily basis, the only difference in that situation was that someone actually alerted that someone about it and it went public.

We can be there within minutes !!! With the average firepower of one shot per second that could 50 or 60 people in a few minutes. Better establish permanent security at all the grade schools too. Within a few minutes will eventually turn out to be a pretty lame effort if presence is ever really needed.

"Ruddick said campus officers can quickly get from the high schools to the elementary schools if needed" yet regular police would be faster. Why risk a delayed response just to keep something in-house? The purpose of a separate TPS police was to keep things out of the paper.

Who is surprised that Ruddick would use this to promote his own agenda?
