Any education concerning sexual behavior, and the entire process can be taught with proper processes and age specific curriculum. Oklahoma and many Southern states host some of the highest teen age pregnancies and unwed mothers and abortion rates. With proper education, boys and girls can learn to use proper pregnancy and STD preventive measures. Many cases when the abstines only curriculum is that only genital to genital sex is talked about which leads to an increase of anal and oral sex without proper education. Most abstinence only programs are not going to spend the time to teach how to properly perform anal sex with condoms and lubrication or how to use a condom for oral sex to protect yourself from an STD. While in a perfect world we would want all sexual encounters to be positive and led to the intended results, what ever that may be. But it is a fool's errand to try to think that teenagers will be able to stop natural hormonal impulses. http://lanyrd.com/profile/emryb/on/sex-education/ Feel free to repost... Emily R.
