TULSA, OK -- After an exhaustive, yet successful effort to rid city streets of ice and snow during the past two snow storms, city crews are rolling up their sleeves to go at it again.
Snow is expected to fall by late Monday night.
Darren Stefanek, City of Tulsa Public Works Supervisor, told Fox 23, "crews will be ahead of the snow storm" prepping roads with materials.
The Mayor's office reported the city spent $770,000 so far this winter for treating snow and ice accumulation.
Crews have applied nearly 9,000 tons of salt and more than 35,000 tons of sand and salt mixture, over 39,000 lane miles.
The good news is, according to Stefanek, there's still more left to handle this upcoming storm:
4,000 tons of salt
3,700 tons of sand
1,200 tons of salt/sand mix
