Over 35,000 people expected to attend the World's Largest Gun Show in Tulsa this weekend. Show Manager Joe Wanenmacher said there are more and more first time buyers that are purchasing weapons, and taking a concealed carry class.
" They don't feel safe in their neighborhoods anymore, they don't feel safe going stores, the department stores and the malls," C&J Sporting Goods Owner Cindy Davis said.
Rifles, revolvers, handguns and more, some pink, some purple.Perfect for Jessica Blank who's never owned a gun, but has been planning on buying one for months.
" I've been taking some women's defense classes on using handguns. I'm going to go for my concealed carry license, so we came here to look to see what kind I could conceal cause I'm smaller, and we found it," Blank said.
C&J Sporting Goods said nearly 80 percent of their guns sales are for concealed carrying.
Jessica's husband is in the Army has already taught her how to shoot. She's going another round, and if trouble finds her she'll fire back.
" If its my life or yours its not going to be mine, if I can have anything to say about it," Blank said.
