Tulsa County Deputies are mourning one of their own.

Deputy John Schonholtz died on Thursday after a long battle with cancer. Schonholtz, a 31-year veteran of the sheriff’s office, was 61. He worked with the FBI and US Treasury department IRS Criminal Investigation task force.

Schonholtz last served the sheriff’s office in the civilian division.
