A Tulsa County judge honored a deputy who died last year.

On Thursday, Judge Kurt Glassco hung a picture of Deputy Joe Masek in his courtroom. Deputy Masek was assigned to Judge Glassco's court until he died last February.

Judge Glassco says the picture is a way to honor the well respected deputy. "He was a kind guy that even people in custody loved and respected," Glassco said.

The picture will remain on the wall of Glassco's courtroom as long as he remains a judge.
