A trio of thieves has eluded Tulsa police but an alert neighbor with an iPhone may have provided the break police have been waiting for in the cases.FOX23’s Abbie Alford explains why police believe the thieves are connected to multiple residential burglaries.
There’s a black Suburban that has shown up in a number of South Tulsa burglaries.
The tag number hasn’t helped police find the crooks but what the thieves don’t know is that a neighbor caught them in the act.
The cell phone video is a little shaky but wouldn’t anyone be nervous if the crooks tried to break into your home and then head to your neighbors?
If you watch the cell phone video in slow motion, you see the burglars hauling off stacks of electronics, including a laptop, desktop computer, external hard drive, Blue Ray player, DVD player, a griddle and a glass vase.
The crooks haul the stolen items into a black 1997 Chevy Suburban with Oklahoma tag number 410FXN.
Police say they’ve traced that tag number to an innocent family in Edmond who sold the truck to someone who paid cash a couple of months ago.
Police describe the suspects as two black males and one white female with short black hair.
