Truck knocks out 3 power poles, thousands without power in Owasso

A truck knocked down three power poles in the Owasso area.

The poles were operated by Verdigris Valley Electric. There are a dozen crews working on restoring power. 2-3,000 customers are without power. It could take 25-30 minutes to restore power.

The poles took down the main feeder line to the Elm Creek substation.

Better get used to it. After they put that distribution center the streets of Owasso will change. New apartment complexes to house the new workers for that facility + the drivers bringing freight in and then the drivers to distribute all of those packages. It won't be the same.
