The trial is scheduled to begin today for the suspect in the 2012 Tulsa courthouse plaza shooting.

Andrew Dennehy is charged with shooting a deputy sheriff and a downtown bystander.

Dennehy faces charges for the accused shooting that happened at the Tulsa Plaza, documents FOX23 obtained show this isn't his first run in with the law.

In 2007, when Dennehy was just 19, records show he was convicted of carrying a firearm while under the influence in Creek County. That same year, in Tulsa County he received a deferred sentence for marijuana charges. Over the next three years he also received a suspended sentence for drunken driving and public intoxication.

Despite his criminal past, FOX23 found out Fennehy has never served time in prison. He received several deferred or suspended sentences and had other charges dropped. He attempted to have the current charges against him dropped.

And the officer with the wild fire gets a medal to boot. Those officers should be disarmed and removed from the TCSO.

The investigation showed the man in the library was hit by a deputy's wild fire, but they decided to charge the suicidal man for it anyway.

This was the crazy scene where a suicidal man shot a .22 up in the air to get the cops to shoot at him. A bunch of sheriff's deputies managed to hit him... after shooting a bystander in the library and another deputy injuring his hands when he shot a concrete planter. They actually gave themselves medals for their bravery.
