Traffic signal out at 71st & Elwood

A truck hit a traffic signal at West 71st Street and South Elwood Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, and the signal is down for repair. A four-way stop sign is in place at the intersection.
Repairs to the traffic signal are estimated to take until 10 p.m. Tuesday evening. Motorists should expect traffic congestion until the signal is repaired.
This location also is part of a current street construction project – rehabilitation of West 71st Street between South Olympia Avenue and the Arkansas River bridge.
