More people are buying predators as pets.  Most recently in Tulsa, we've seen massive boa constrictors found in backyards.  Most times the exotic animals cannot be traced back to an owner, but now a state lawmaker is asking for help from wildlife experts to implement a tracking system that would hold pet owners accountable when those predators are found roaming free.

Watchdog1. That is a understandable response, that I both understand and respect. However, I would request that you at least give us, or another responsible party a chance to recover it before you turn it into boots. The entire species is better to have, in order to determine origin, health, impact on our environment, etc ... than a part of the animal is.
