A tiger born in Tulsa, and given to a zoo in Washington State, is suffering from major health problems.
Zookeepers at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington say the tiger named Berani started experiencing respiratory distress after having surgery Monday night. He had the procedure after developing a high fever and becoming lethargic Monday afternoon.
The zoological and veterinary staff are working around the clock to care for Berani.
Berani was born on August 26th of 2012, and was sent to be raised at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium to be raised with Dumai, a Sumatran tiger cub born around the same time.
