In October, FOX23 told you about empty store shelves that were never filled at Gateway Market in north Tulsa.

"It makes me feel like a failure," said Antonio Perez, store manager.

Perez assured FOX23 this would change by early November and shelves would resemble his other grocery stores around town. Instead, aisles at Gateway Market are still empty.

Perez told FOX23 people stopped showing up and when they come, it was for the wrong reasons.

"All of a sudden, merchandise started walking away," Perez said.

And loyal supports began to check out too.

Just one day before Thanksgiving, Andrew Smith told FOX23 he walked in with a long list and walked out with just one stalk of celery.

"It hurts, it hurts," Perez said.

Perez said this store has hurt his pockets and half a million dollars later, this is what he has to show for it.

"I've got more selection at home," said Perez.

Weeks after Perez promised to fill shelves, he made another.

Perez told FOX23 by Dec. 5, Gateway Market will get an overhaul and the store will be reset, restocked and cut in half.

The shoplifting is the reason none of the big chains will even look at north Tulsa.

Yea, it's that product that grows legs (poor sorry ass individuals who believe it's owed to them). Batting zero again because poor citizenry is still teaching these self defeating sub humans that they will still have to drive to some other part of town just to get groceries. That drive money could have been used to buy more groceries or (here's a laugh) placed into savings. You can't draw interest on a ebt card.
