High School Band members with the Pride of Broken Arrow were greeted with a large reception on Sunday afternoon. Parents and community members lined the street to welcome home the band as the Class AAAA Regional Champion.

The Pride of Broken Arrow competed against 63 other bands over the weekend at the Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional.

Band Director Darrin Davis told FOX23 that he is proud of the 262 band members and credits their hard work and dedication for the big achievement.

“The effort that they gave at their performances was certainly memorable and I couldn't be more proud,” said Davis.

The band will travel to Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday to compete in Nationals.

Band members told FOX23 that experience was rewarding and they have already begun to focus on the next competition.

“We have to give it our all, that it was the pride is all about,” said 12th grade student, Joshua Sallee.

The Owasso High School Band came in 2nd place in Class AAAA.
