A Tulsa man is okay after rolling his car over early Friday morning in midtown Tulsa.

Police say the 18-year old thought he was on an on ramp to I44 at 39th and Sheridan around 2 a.m. He ended up speeding up on a dirt road and flipped his car into a ditch.

EMSA checked him out and he was not hurt. Police do not think alcohol was involved.

Several months ago I did the same thing on this same road (No alcohol was involved with me either)! I had worked late and turned east from heading northbound where it appears there is an onramp. There is a paved road for about 100 yards and then a massive ditch which my new 2011 truck severely bottomed out. Unfortunately I had to go back through it to leave. Did a ton of damage to my suspension. The city needs to block this off!

They said where he thought he was but didn't say where the event occured. A little mystery in the news.
