A 14-year-old accused of shooting and killing a woman in a Jenks home has been charged with first degree murder.

The Tulsa County District Attorney charged Joshua Mooney with first degree murder and 2nd degree burglary for the death of Mary Escue. Escue was found shot to death in her parents' Jenks home on December 17th. Deputies say Mooney confessed to breaking into the home to burglarize it and shooting Escue when she came into the house while he was inside.

Tulsa County deputies questioned a 13-year-old in connection to the shooting on Wednesday, but no charges have been filed.

At 14 he may be tried as an adult but he will need to be housed as a minor till he turns 18. A judicial review could release him or give him a ticket to the big show.
