The Tahlequah Police Department is investigating an unidentified package at a company that sells propane tanks.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, ATF and Tahlequah police are all on scene. Police tell us they got a call around noon about an unidentified package at Amerigas at 5050 Muskogee Road. They tell FOX23 the package was found near the propane tanks.

They say the device appears to be a flash bang, it was found in a bag with ammunition and other explosive components. A suspect has been identified, his name has not been released.

The device is being defused. A mile of highway near the area was blocked off, but has reopened.
