A one-year-old Tahlequah girl has died after an accident in Cherokee County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol isn't releasing a lot of details, except that it happened in a private drive just outside Tahlequah.

There was a pickup involved, and the child is listed as a "pedestrian" on the report.

Two teens and another 1-year-old in the truck were not hurt.

We'll keep following this story and bring you new details as we get them.

I wonder why nobody thought to pray for this little child to survive right after the incident. Matthew 7:7 should have been consulted immediately. Or right now, the book doesn't put a time limit on it...or Matthew 18:19, there are many promises from the Jesus that could bring her right back to life.

Condolences to friends and family. Holiday tragedies like this will have family shedding tears more than once. So sorry that someone was not keeping a better eye on the child.
