Late Wednesday afternoon, the University of Tulsa issued a statement about the firing of the school's president:
The University of Tulsa has announced the termination of Geoffrey Orsak as president of the institution effective immediately. TU Executive Vice President Kevan Buck has been authorized by the board to manage the day-to-day operations of the university.
The university did not give a reason for the termination.
