Late Wednesday afternoon, the University of Tulsa issued a statement about the firing of the school's president:

The University of Tulsa has announced the termination of Geoffrey Orsak as president of the institution effective immediately.  TU Executive Vice President Kevan Buck has been authorized by the board to manage the day-to-day operations of the university.

The university did not give a reason for the termination.

Orsak was named president of the university in May of 2012.  He replaced Steadman Upham on July 1st, 2012.  Prior to that, Orsak was the dean of engineering at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Well, all I can say is he must have done something pretty bad to get fired from TU, they have people who have been there for decades who should have been fired long ago but weren't it is quite a clik there. Why don't they just give the job to Kevan Buck? If he can do the job for a few months, he can most likely do it for longer.

It's obvious that the board of directors at TU are as noncomposmentis like the dysfunctional union worker that protest TU on the corner 11th and Harvard. It's amazing that TU has an image problem for years and still its not fix.
