The Tulsa Public School Board approved the first contract in a partnership with Harvard’s EdLabs program.

The program will help McLain High School and feeder elementary schools. EdLabs focuses on a longer school day and tutoring for individual students.

Superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard says TPS will have a planning year before fully implementing the program.

The initial contract is $80,000, which is paid for by community dollars.
