TPD searching for attempted car thieves

Tulsa police are looking for a man and woman they said tried to steal a vehicle last week.

Police say on November 29 at 12:28 p.m., the man and woman attempted to steal a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot at 1700 S. Peoria Avenue.

A citizen who knew the vehicle did not belong to them confronted them. The suspects said they were there to tow the vehicle. When the citizen told the suspects he was calling police they left in the white truck seen in attached photos.

Detectives believe these suspect could be responsible for similar thefts.

TPD usually assumes these are repo men, and if they respond at all, go after the person making the report.
