Tulsa police charged two people in connection to the stabbing deaths of two women in 2006.
Police said Dorothy Lindley and Linda Wright were found stabbed to death inside an apartment near 51st and Lewis on January 4th, 2006. They said the investigation stalled but always remained open.
Police said a tip they got in 2009 led to one suspect, Hilliard Fulgham. The Tulsa Police Homicide Detectives received assistance from the Okibbeha County Sheriff Department, in Starkville Mississippi and the Kinder Police Department Louisiana during the investigation.
The Tulsa Police Department stayed in contact with the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office throughout the investigation.
On June 24th, 2013 Prosecutors applied for and received two First Degree Murder Warrants naming Hilliard Fulgham as the suspect. The DA’s office also got two Accessory to Murder warrants naming Jaqueline Smith as the suspect.
Fulgham is incarcerated within the Mississippi State Correctional System and Jaqueline Smith was arrested on June 25, 2013.
The Homicide Unit contacted the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force members and with their assistance and assistance from the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Smith.
She is being taken to the St. Bernard Parish jail to await extradition to Tulsa.
