TPD identifies officer involved in shooting

Tulsa police have identified an officer involved in a shooting on Wednesday night. 

Tulsa Police say Officer Ian Adair shot an armed man outside a home in north Tulsa.  Police went to the home in the 2000 block of N. Delaware around 10 on Wednesday night after someone called 911 and hung up.  Officers found a man outside with a gun, when he refused to put it down the man was shot by Officer Adair.

Police say 64-Joyce Lozada was found shot to death inside the home.  Detectives are working to determine exactly what happened.   Police say the man shot by the officer was Lozada's estranged husband, he is expected to recover.

Officer Ian Adair has been a member of the Tulsa Police Department since February of 2007.

Why do they publish the name?The officer was doing his duty,hope they don't give out his address and telephone number.
