TPD give tickets to 110 speeders

The Tulsa Police Department released the results of a recent traffic enforcement focused on catching speeders.

The Tulsa Police Department Riverside Traffic Unit focused on speed enforcement along the Broken Arrow Expressway and city surface streets, from Monday, January 14 through Sunday January 20, 2013.

Police say during this time, more than 110 citations issued to motorists for violating the posted speed limits.

Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution and pay special attention to the posted speed limits. The Riverside Traffic Unit will continue to enforce speed violations with future efforts targeting additional expressways and city surface streets.

This looks like a press release. If it were news, we would know how much this cost, where the money came from, how many arrests were necessary to collect the grant money, and more info on the arrests themselves.
