TPD, OHP, Red Cross members going to New York

Two Tulsa police officers will assist with clean up in New York as part of the Emergency Management Assistance Compact.

New York state officials requested an Emergency Operations Center Operations Team to assist their state EOC in response to the superstorm Sandy.

Captain Brett Bailey and Officer Adam Woodward, who are members of the departments Disaster Area Response Team, will be deployed from October 31st to November 15th.

OHP is also sending two troopers and a communications officer to work with incident managers in New York.

The Eastern Oklahoma Red Cross will also be deploying an Emergency Response vehicle and two additional volunteers to New Jersey on Thursday.
