Suspended Tulsa Public School athletic assistant resigns

An assistant in the Tulsa Public School Athletic Director's office has resigned.

Jon Wheeler was suspended with Athletic Director Stephanie Spring and another assistant after allegations surfaced that they violated the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act by hacking into another employee's computer.  The other assistant, Trish Pruitt, has returned to work.

Wheeler was scheduled for a hearing but resigned before one was scheduled.  The Tulsa Public Schools board will vote on accepting his resignation at a board meeting on Tuesday night.

Stephanie Springs' has been given a letter of termination from the district.  A hearing has been scheduled for February 7th.
