Student in custody after explosion in Bartlesville

A Bartlesville High School student is in custody after an explosion in the school parking lot.

School officials tell FOX22 the incident occurred at Bartlesville High School when a student created a small explosion in a high school parking lot on Thursday.

BHS administrators and district administrators investigated the incident and the information collected was turned over to the Bartlesville Police Department.

The Bartlesville Police Department is still investigating and the student is in custody.

No students were injured and all classes at BHS continued as normally scheduled.

The Bartlesville Public School District will continue to work closely with the Bartlesville Police Department.
