Tulsa police have found a $7,000 trailer stolen from an east Tulsa recycling center.

TPD called the Metropolitan Environmental Trust to let them know their e-waste trailer was found in an impound lot seven miles away from their site at 34th and Sheridan.

The trailer was stolen on Monday. The Met uses the trailer to collect electronic trash

“Old faxes, printers, cell phones appliances,” said Annie Tyndall, spokesperson for the Met.

Tyndal said the trailer was about half full when thieves stole it, she said there was also a metal lock on it.

“They had cut them off using some type of metal cutters,” she said.

On Wenesday, FOX23 was there as Tyndall got some good news from police.

“We have found our trailer, our electronic waste trailer!" she told FOX23.

The $7,000 trailer was intact, but the signage was stripped off and everything inside was gone, including some hard drives. Tyndall said she's not worried about people's personal information being stolen.

“Computer towers and hard drives we always ask people to wipe it clean before giving it off," she explained.

Police are asking anyone whose dropped off computers or cell phones here to keep an eye on their accounts for any suspicious activity.

Plans are being made to get the trailer back in place, so people can continue to drop of electronics for recycling.
