With so many people preparing for the winter weather, staying well stocked can be a challenge.
Our FOX23 crew went to Owasso Monday to see what challenges their grocery stores face.
Much to our surprise, the Owasso grocery stores weren't overly packed Monday night.
Management said they were a little busier than usual for a Monday night, but they said they were slammed Saturday and Sunday with people expecting a week of winter weather.
We saw a steady stream of people in and out of Reasor’s Monday night, but it was far from chaotic.
While some did head to the store because of the forecast, others were just making a normal trip.
"We needed to stock up," said an Owasso resident.
"Just getting ready for the snow in case it hits," said another Owasso shopper, Denise Tarter.
But no matter what they came for, they were surprised.
"Not as busy as it was the other day," said Owasso resident.
Surprisingly enough there are empty parking spaces which isn’t normal for the night before a winter storm.
"I figured it'd be packed but it wasn't too bad," said Tarter.
The shelves were decently stocked.
We looked at the bread and milk sections.
While it's easy to see people had been buying the items there still was plenty to go around.
Ashley James said she went to the grocery store Sunday, Monday and that she'll possibly have to go again Tuesday with snow likely and school cancellations possible once again.
"Home with three kids, we eat a lot and go through a lot of groceries," said Tarter,
