A store that first opened its doors in Tulsa nearly 30 years ago will be closing this week.

Customers are making their last visits to Starbase 21 near 51st and Memorial. Many are hoping to get a last look and some great deals on comic books.

FOX23 talked with one man who said he'll miss his trips to the store

“I introduced my nephews to comics recently and there's something about the magic of flipping through pages. I don't think that will ever change,” said Joshua Smith, a customer.

Employees told FOX23 the owner is having some health problems and decided it was time to close the store. Starbase 21 will be open for its last day of business on Tuesday from 11 am until five pm.
