Four people are behind bars after a standoff at the Elms Hotel off Highway 66 in Claremore.
Claremore Police say it started when they found a stolen vehicle in a Walmart parking lot, with a meth lab inside. During their investigation, Jennie Runions and Sarah Hawley were arrested. Eventually police tracked two men to the Elms Hotel, where they refused to come out for hours.
TPD's special operations team was called out to help, but didn't have to do much more than get suited up and demand that the suspects come out, before they did. They crawled out and surrendered peacefully, because they were hiding in the attic of the hotel and got cold.
The two men have been identified as Danny Pirtle and Jayson Handing. The names of the two women who were arrested have not been released. Claremore Police say all four are from Tennessee, and they aren't sure why they were in Green Country.
Pirtle and Handing are facing charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of firearms, which is illegal since both have prior felony convictions. Runions faces charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, joyriding, and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. Hawley faces charges of manufacturing and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a motor vehicle.
