A young man confined to a wheelchair got the opportunity of a lifetime during Friday's game between Sapulpa and Sand Springs. He got to present the game ball.

The cross country coach for Sand Springs has a place on his team for children with special needs, and during the football game, Conner Williamson got to take center stage.

Williamson doesn't let being confined to a wheelchair stop him from being an athlete.

"He's an official member of the cross country team and will be in our team picture," says his coach, Chris Corbin.

While others use their legs to finish a race, Conner relies on his wheels to get him across the finish line.

Corbin strives to make sure Conner always feels like part of the team.

"We just ran a relay with the Sapulpa cross country team all the way from the high school stadium to here to present the game ball," says Corbin.

Before the kick-off between Sapulpa and Sand Springs, Conner and his teammates did one lap around the stadium, and then he took his place at center field.

With all eyes on him, he proudly presented the game ball to the referee.

As the crowd cheered him on, Conner exited the field paving the way for other special-needs children like him to be a part of something great.
