A fire damaged a South Tulsa home Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the 5500 block of East 61st Street at 3 p.m. Crews arrived to heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the home.

A search and rescue team was deployed because first responders thought someone might be inside the home.  Firefighters quickly determined no one was inside and that the home was empty.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
