The Tulsa Fire Department is on the scene of an apartment fire at the London Square Apartments near 61st and Lewis.

Fire officials told FOX23 two children have died and three adults were injured in the fire.

Fire officials said one apartment was destroyed and three others are damage, mostly from smoke and water.

Fire investigators are trying to determine what caused this fire.

FOX23 talked with Christina Long, she was inside, just two doors down from where the fire broke out.

She was standing on the street crying and told FOX23’s Sara Whaley, “I wish I could have done more."

The woman told FOX23 she was taking a nap when someone banged on her door screaming fire.

She ran out the door, that's when she said she saw a distraught mom trying to get into the apartment door where the fire started.

“2 guys and I broke the door down and tried to go in after them, but it was so thick we couldn't breathe… we went in there like 4 or 5 times and then i couldn't breathe anymore and they almost had to drag me out," said Long.
