All new at 9, Broken Arrow police are investigating an armed robbery at a mattress store.

Police say a worker was at Snow's Mattress on 81st and Elm when he was robbed at gunpoint.

The worker told FOX23 tonight that he never expected to be targeted because the business doesn't keep much cash.

Stace Proctor says his job as a manager at Snow's Mattress started pretty much the same as every Monday.

Until about 10 a.m., when an armed gunman came in.

"I knew what time it was as soon as he walked in," Proctor told FOX23.

The man was completely covered and carrying a gun.

"All I could see was his eyes," Proctor recalls.

The situation quickly escalated.

"He said don't move I've got a gun and he came down the aisle and said give me the money."

So Proctor handed him the money from the store, all $259.

The mattress store doesn't deal in cash often.

"He said this isn't enough, where is the rest of the money? I said look this is it I swear. This is everything."

Proctor says he was in shock.

"You think all your life what you would do if someone put a gun to your face, but until it happens, you know, you just go into shock, a deer in headlights… I wasn't scared, I was in shock, do what he says and you won't get shot."

The gunman then took the money and ran off.

It was all over in a matter of minutes.

"He seemed like he did this every day, like it was no big deal, he didn't seem nervous at all."

There is surveillance video.

The store says it will show it to us tomorrow and we will share it with you
