Midtown Tulsa --
While horses and bell ringers greeted Black Friday shoppers outside the Promenade Mall, sales signs welcomed customers inside. 40, 50 and even 60% signs were everywhere. Over at Bath and Body Works, shoppers could get a VIP bag worth $100 for only $20 with any $40 purchase. At JCPenny, towels sold for $5 and men’s and women’s sweaters went for $12 and $15 respectively.
We caught up with shopper Connie Dowling and her family inside the food court where she could hardly contain her excitement.
"O my gracious, I know we probably saved about $100 at least,” says Dowling.
Unlike some people on Black Friday, Connie and her family decided to wait a few hours before hitting the stores.
"We didn't want to be here at 9am to hit all the crowds or at 5am or whatever time it opened,” she says.
Downstairs, Amy Anderson and her boyfriend Michael were scoring big deals over at Express.
"I saved about $180,” says Amy.
"I got my brother something and I got her something too, and it's just one of those things that she knows what she's going to get this time but it was a really good deal so I had to get it,” says Michael.
And for all you decorators out there, Home Décor World was offering 75% off the entire store.
As Black Friday comes to a close, stores are now gearing up for Cyber Monday. You can log onto www.cnet.com and enter what kind of item you want, the brand or even the store and it will sort the best deals for you.
