Tulsa police responded to a shooting call at the corner of Admiral Street and 89th East Avenue around 8:20 p.m. Sunday.
The victim was found dead when officers and emergency responders arrived at the Tonight Inn and Suites Motel. FOX23 was live at the scene uncovering the details.
Police told FOX23 they were able to speak to witnesses who heard three or four gunshots fired. However, they couldn't place where the shots came from, mostly because the motel's hallways are enclosed and sounds bounce around and echo.
TPD Officer Ericson told FOX23 that the shooter took off running westbound away from the scene and police have no description.
The only description police have at this time is that he was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt. Police have identified the victim as Tirus Johnson.
Officers said it is still early in the investigation and more details will be released as this investigation continues.
