This morning I received a phone call from someone claiming to be with Publishers Clearing House stating that I won some prizes. He was very insistent that I call a certain phone number as ask for someone to arrange a time for them to come to my house. The first thing that I thought of was a scam where you call a number and incur huge charges on your phone bill. The other scenario is that they want you to give out personal information that they can use for identity theft. I found your news story and called the PCH fraud hotline and reported the phone number that the call came from and the phone number that I was told to call.
