Wagoner County Sheriff Bob Colbert said Tuesday a 17-year-old boy from Fort Gibson has been arrested for terroristic threats, larceny of a firearm and possession of drugs.
Deputies say the teen made threats to go on a shooting spree because "he felt the world was going to end soon."
Sheriff Colbert said the boy stole a gun, and the boy threatened to "track down the people [he] hated no matter how far he had to go." Police say they found drugs on the teenager at the time of his arrest.
Sheriff Colbert credits the quick response of his deputies in locating the juvenile before he completed any acts of violence. The teen is currently in custody at the Wagoner County Jail. His name has not been released.
