The Red Cross closed a shelter helping families displaced by a fire at the Red River Apartments in south Tulsa after the families made other arrangements.
The call went out around 3:15am Friday, and crews say it started on a second floor apartment, in the balcony area, but it's not clear why.
Crews had some trouble fighting it because one of the hydrants they were using actually broke, but they were able to use another one instead.
More than a dozen families are affected, and the Red Cross is going through some of the affected units to see what can be salvaged, and get a better idea of how to help the families.
No one was hurt.
