Checkpoints are down in Moore and families are worried uninvited guests will have easier access to their neighborhood.

"The police have been taking good care of it but I don't know now that the streets are open," said Marian Hall.

Her home is still standing but is in a shell but worries looters will strike.

"Most of my stuff as you can see is out in the open," said Hall.

On Thursday, FOX23 News was in a neighborhood between 19th and 4th near Broadway when Moore police asked a crew to stop. Behind FOX23 News police were questioning three people who had a truckload of scrap metal.

"Trying to take advantage of people," said Greg Rivera.

He called police when he suspected looters were in his neighborhood targeting yards with scrap metal.

Three people were arrested but police say several have been arrested this week.

"We don't need people like that over here stealing what we got left or what we are trying to save. Yeah it worries me a lot," said Hall.

Police say with more volunteers expected to flood neighborhoods this weekend they want families to report anyone suspicious.

Officers recommend keeping copper items away from the curb and lock or don't leave anything expensive such as jewelry or firearms in a vacant home.

"I am going to take my grandfather clock. I think I am going to take it with me when I leave here this evening. That's the main thing I've had it for 30 years and I don't want to lose it now," said Hall.

Moore police say they are arresting several looters and booking them into jail. They have to go in front of a judge and if convicted they could serve time in jail for looting in a disaster.

There should be a "Shoot on Sight" order for looters.

If I were a homeowner being kept out I would be furious. Now the guys picking up bits of tin roof and metal that flew in would have probably been welcome a block further down. That wasnt looting, otherwise you would have to arrest anyone who picks up debris that blew in. Perhaps the police were being over-zealous to try and make up for them letting real looters in.
