A state senator wants to make Black Friday sales legal in Oklahoma.
Right now, those and other low priced sales are illegal in Oklahoma because of a 1941 law. A retailer can be arrested or sued if they don’t sell products for at least 6% more than what they paid for it.
State Senator David Holt wrote a bill that would make Black Friday and other big sales legal in the state. The bill will be considered when the state legislature convenes in February.
