Semi hits downtown bridge, shuts down part of highway

Authorities are shutting down part of Tulsa's IDL after a semi hit a northbound bridge on I-244 that spans 3rd Street at Nogales Monday afternoon.
The truck is used to carry dumpsters, but did not have one at the time of the accident. A part of the truck was extended and hit the bridge.
Oklahoma Department of Transportation engineers are at the scene to inspect the bridge.
Authorities are re-routing traffic on to Highway 51.
FOX23 has a crew on the scene and will have more information as it becomes available.
