Sapulpa schools were briefly locked down on Tuesday while police searched the area for a person of interest.

School officials say the high school, junior high, middle school and Holmes Park Elementary were all locked down and students were not allowed to leave campus for lunch as a precaution.

Police were searching the area for a person of interest, no other details were given.
