The Sapulpa Fire Department says an electrical fire may have caused a fire that caused severe damage at a Sapulpa home.

Firefighters were called to the home just before 2 on Tuesday afternoon. The assistant fire chief says the fire looks like an electrical one and say the house is likely a total loss with at least 75% smoke damage.

A man, woman and baby were inside at the time, they told firefighters the power went off and then the smoke alarm started going off. No one was injured.

The Coryx people (for OG&E) have been very busy in Sapulpa replacing electric meters with the new smart meters. (BTW, sneaking them in without consent and without notifying the homeowner or identifying themselves.) This has been responsible for numerous house fires in British Columbia. I really think investigators should start there, and if there's a connection, this family needs to get a lawyer right away.
