SMG Tulsa hired Sarah Haertl as Director of Marketing for both the BOK Center and the Tulsa Convention Center.

In addition to her position in Tulsa, Haertl was named Mid-West Regional Marketing Manager for SMG.

“Sarah brings great passion and knowledge of the industry to the BOK Center and Tulsa Convention Center,” said John Bolton, SMG Tulsa General Manager. “Her previous venue experience is an asset to our team in Tulsa.”

Jim McCue, Senior Vice President of SMG Entertainment, added: “SMG recognizes the leadership and skills that Sarah possesses and we saw the opportunity to expand her role to provide leadership to our marketing managers in the Midwest region. She will be a great asset to Tulsa and our SMG marketing efforts in the region.”

Haertl joined SMG in 2009 as Director of Sales and Marketing for INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kan., where she helped plan and execute the venue’s grand opening in January 2010, oversaw event marketing and promoted the venue throughout the industry. During her time at INTRUST Bank Arena, Haertl was nominated for Venues Today Magazine’s Hall of Headlines in 2011 and the Women of Influence award in 2012.

In addition to event marketing at the BOK Center and Tulsa Convention Center, Haertl will oversee the BOK Center’s premium seating, venue public relations, industry advertising and social media.

“This is a dream opportunity for me. The BOK Center and Tulsa Convention Center are nationally recognized buildings with the top concerts and events,” Haertl said. “The ability to stay within SMG was my priority. To be able to do so in a community like Tulsa made this the perfect fit for me.”
